Cycle of Life 2009

On National Cancer Survivor’s Day, June 7, 2009, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center will once again be hosting Cycle of Life – an extraordinary celebration for children who have survived or who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Cycle of Life is a very special day for the young cancer patients and their families in our care at the Division of Hematology and Oncology.  The 2009 event will be held at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and will feature a wide variety of interactive games and activities that center around the major themes of nutrition and exercise.

Cycle of Life is a free event and all pediatric cancer survivors (moment of diagnosis throughout one’s life) and their families are most welcome.  All proceeds will benefit the REACH for the STARS Survivorship Program.

Cycle of Life 2009 is being organized by a Steering Committee comprised of patient families and friends.  If you are interested in learning more, please see Committee Information & Responsibilities.

The inaugural event, held on June 1st, 2008 at the Riverfront Plaza in Hartford, was attended by more than 500 children and their families.
